Before the Norman Conquest, Cyneric the former shire-reeve punished crime. Now, he commits it.
A Disobedient Death1357 A.D. Medieval Russia when it was ruled by the Tatars of the Golden Horde. Loosely based on an actual murder.
Yaroslav the Inquirer is Russian but he works for the Tatars. He’s supposed to be helping suppress a Russian rebellion. Instead he’s solving the murder of the rebel leader.
I wrote this novel with Rimsky-Korsakov’s lush Scheherazade playing in the background. When they make it into a movie, I hope they use Scheherazade for the soundtrack. The novel is currently unpublished, complete at 95,000 words, and seeking representation.
